Wedding Ring Shopping

Your wedding ring is the symbol of an everlasting love. You want it to suggest the kind of relationship you have with your groom as well as to reflect your personal style. Shopping for wedding rings is fun and can be a great way to build excitement for the wedding. Here are a few tips to keep in mind as you go along.
First, talk to each other about what you have in mind, if anything. Your groom may not have any ideas about what type of ring he wants, but then again, some men have very specific ideas about jewelry. You will want to talk about the type of metal you both wear, either silver or gold.
Yellow gold has been very popular for a long time now, but platinum and white gold are coming back into fashion. If you normally wear silver jewelry and your groom wears a steel watchband, a white gold or platinum wedding ring set will be perfect for you.
But if he wears a gold watch and you wear silver jewelry or he wears a steel watchband and you wear yellow gold jewelry, you will need to compromise. There are some lovely designs that combine the two metals into one ring. If fact, you can get rings that weave yellow, white, and rose gold together, making the rings versatile and unique.
Next, establish a price range. He may be reluctant to tell you what he is willing to spend, but remind him that you will love the ring because it is from him. With an idea of the price range, you can set your expectations appropriately and shopping will go a lot smoother.
You might want to go have your nails done. Some brides complaint that an otherwise thrilling ring shopping experience was dampened by their unkempt nails and ragged cuticles from gardening. So get your nails done, use some hand lotion, and get ready to show off the diamonds.
