Wedding vows are a statement of your love and the wanting to spend the rest of your life with that person. Traditional wedding vows are simple, but these traditional words are powerful in getting your message across. Traditional is a word that tells you the vows you are using are used quite often in expressing emotions, feelings and love during a wedding, and these are vows that you should be proud to use in your wedding.

What makes a traditional vow one you can use in your wedding ceremony? If you have been to quite a few weddings lately you will quickly learn that traditional wedding vows are words that have been put together to express how you love each other, how you will love each other and how you want to spend your lives together. These vows show love and respect for each other that mean a lifetime of togetherness.

How do you use traditional wedding vows in your ceremony? You will meet with the minister or officiator of the ceremony and ask what the traditional vows are for their service. If you and your soon to be spouse agree that the vows that are traditionally spoken are statements that express your feelings for each other you can opt to use those vows during your wedding ceremony.

Other types of traditional vows will include those that are used in ceremonies often. In listening or reading from other weddings, there are statements that are similar, but that are said all the time by the bride and groom. Vows such as these include, I will be with you through the good and the bad, through sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer. These are strong words to be used by two people who want to show each other just how much they love each other and how much both people are looking forward to the future of their love.

What makes using traditional vows a good choice during your wedding ceremony? When the vows that are said mean what you and your spouse feel, want and need in a relationship, those are the vows you want to consider using in your wedding ceremony. Not everyone has the need to write their own wedding vows because words can’t express just how intimate the relationship really is. Use traditional wedding vows in your wedding to make the wedding complete.
