So you’re having your wedding at the beach. And you’re looking for no-fuss favors that fit your beach location. Beach wedding favors.
Let’s face it, potpourri in a little tulle bag just won’t cut it. The beach is a fun place. You need fun wedding favors. You need wow appeal.
You need something that won’t go into your guests’ underwear drawer.
How do you find something that’s interesting and hassle-free? Hint: Mints aren’t going to do this for you. But the following favors will.
Send your guests home from your wedding with a piece of the beach.
Flip Flops
You told everyone that the wedding was at the beach. But you know someone is going to wear heels anyway. Or their best dress shoes.
Flip flops are great favors for beach weddings. They’re useful. Different. And they won’t go in the underwear drawer.
If you give out flip flops as favors take pity on your guests. Give them somewhere to sit to put them on.
Sun Block
Travel sized. Wrapped in tulle. An excellent beach favor for wedding guests who burn in the shade.
You might want to have wipes on hand. Just in case your guests use this favor right away.
Fans
Fan wedding favors will keep your guests cool at the beach. Buy paper or lace fans in bulk from your local party store. Craft stores carry them as well.
Wind in a ribbon with your wedding info. Or have a service personalize a set of fans with your wedding date and/or picture.
Paper Parasols
Worried that your wedding guests might melt in the sunlight? Give them their own portable shade! Parasols - small, light umbrellas - add a genteel touch to the beach wedding. It’s the kind of favor that’s pretty enough to display.
If you choose a different favor, consider renting parasols anyway. Shade is hard to come by at the beach.
Sea Shells
What says wedding by the seashore more than a shell? It’s the ultimate wedding favor from the beach. You can give one medium sized shell per family. Or hand out tiny shells in a tulle bag.
Another variation is to put the shells in small vials with stoppers. Check beach regulations before you do this though. There might be laws against glass on the beach.
Leis or Single Flowers
These work particularly well for weddings with a Hawaiian theme. The flowers can be real or synthetic.
If you go the real flower route, choose hardy types. Think Orchids, Gardenias, Roses. Something that won’t wilt by ceremony end.
And there you have it. Six no-hassle wedding favors perfect for a beach wedding. Use one, or all six. Either way, you’ll send your guests home with the perfect memento of your special day.
