The search for the perfect bridal gown can be a long and exhausting one. But it can also be a fun adventure where you are the center of attention and you find the dream dress you were searching for all along. Designer wedding gowns are often the first choice for brides who want quality and fashion.

If you are searching for a designer wedding dress, you might want to start your search online. While there are a million sites devoted to wedding dresses, you will be able to narrow your search with a few keywords. Try searching for designer wedding dress, wedding gowns by designers, or couture wedding dress.

When you get some results, weed out the websites that do not offer a gallery of dresses. You want to use your time wisely and a wedding dress gallery is the way to go. A wedding dress gallery is simply an online picture show of the wedding gown designs available.


As you peruse the wedding gallery, note down the aspects of certain dresses that you particularly like. If a dress really jumps out at you, write down the designer, the website address, the dress name and number if available, and what in particular you liked about the dress.

For example, if you see a dress you love because of the way it frames the model’s neckline, note what style of neckline the dress has. If it is square, heart shaped, v-neck, or strapless, you will want to look for dresses with this similar cut to find something that you think is attractive.

After you have some ideas of what you like, look for information about retail locations that feature this designer’s dresses. There may or may not be a location in your city. If there is, call them and ask them if they have the specific gowns that you wrote down. If they don’t see if they can order a sample size for you to try on.

If there is not a location in your area, call one of the nearest ones and ask them if they mind shipping a dress of your choice to another boutique or location for you to try. Some shops will accommodate you or have wording relationships with other wedding supply stores.
